As a wedding and event decorator, I often get approached by charitable organizations to help them out with fundraising events. I truly enjoy decorating for charity events. While I’m not able to accept every invitation I receive, it’s always a great honour when I am approached to contribute and I love helping a worthy cause. On November 8, I’m very excited to be a part of a fun and very worthwhile cause—the first annual Winter Wonderland Annual Holiday Fundraiser, which will benefit the St. Mary’s General Hospital Foundation. Funds raised will go towards the St. Mary’s Regional Cardiac Care Centre. The event takes place from 5:00 to 11:00pm and is being held at the Hacienda Sarria. As mentioned in a previous blog post, I attended a wedding show this past January at the Hacienda Sarria and it is a great venue! I am one of its preferred vendors and it will make a lovely backdrop for the Winter Wonderland Annual Holiday Fundraiser.

It will be a great evening, featuring fashion presentations, music, hors d’oeurves and cocktails. The evening’s showcase will be an amazing silent auction, which I am going to be a part of. This isn’t just any silent auction, however. It will be a festive tree auction and I will be designing and decorating one of 10 gorgeous Christmas trees! The trees will be on display and auctioned off. Each tree will be beautifully decorated with its own theme, ready for the holidays! My tree will have a Winter Wonderland theme and I can’t wait to get started decorating it! In addition to the silent auction, there will be a fashion show, highlighting elegant holiday fashion.
